I began my postsecondary education at the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Science degree.  Thereafter, I moved to New York City and earned my Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.  Lastly, I moved abroad to the United Kingdom and earned my MBA from the University of Cambridge.  

I have now been practicing law for over fifteen years and as such have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of different areas.  I began my legal career in the Los Angeles office of the corporate and business group for Morrison & Foerster, a large law firm.  At Morrison & Foerster, I worked on transactions including mergers, acquisitions and securities filings.  Thereafter, I moved to London and worked for Ernst & Young, an international financial services firm.  In this role, I assisted mostly publicly traded companies in a quasi legal and business role.  I have also through the years had the opportunity to be a professor of law for the Connecticut public school system.

I have chose to focus my legal career on estate planning for several reasons, but the primary one is for the families that I have the privilege of advising.  An estate planner is an important role because it is one of utmost confidentiality.  Over the years, I have learned more about my clients than perhaps anyone else that they know and this is a responsibility that I do not take lightly.  I enjoy the role that I get to play as an advisor not only to my clients, but to their entire families, as my role will often involve my interfacing with multiple generations of the same family.  

As an estate planner, I also assist many individuals who are near, or are already, retired.  Given the close work that I do with this group of individuals, it is important to treat these clients with respect.  It is truly satisfying when I hear from my clients, "working with you isn't like other lawyers!"  I treat my clients' problems as my own problems, and that sets my firm apart from other attorneys.
